Washi Tape Bunting

It seems like my girls wake up every morning wanting to do craft.  Mostly this just consists of grabbing a handful of copy paper and the box of felt pens, then making loads of drawings.  Some mornings I manage to come up with a quick craft activity.  Today it was Washi Tape bunting.  I've seen this idea on various blogs and it was really quick and easy.

First I took four sheets of pastel coloured copy paper.  I cut them in half lengthways, then cut them into triangles.  There was no measuring or geometry here.  I just randomly cut one triangle, then used it as a template to cut the rest.

The girls then chose a Washi Tape they liked and we rolled out a long strip.  Each triangle was placed along the tape like this:

Once we had a row of triangles, the tape was folded over and stuck down.  The whole process was repeated until all the triangles were used.

Samantha drew some pictures on her bunting, and Olivia left hers plain.  After some consultation with the girls they decided to decorate their beds with the bunting.

This was a super quick and easy activity to do with the girls.  It also looks very cute in their rooms.
